mmmm bendy.

Pretty sure carleton could break that.

Sherblock 10-10-12 10:52 PM

Why.

Nagrom_ 10-10-12 10:57 PM

Whats the weight on this?

So when you get hit by a car and go down the bike makes all kinds of awesome sparks and puts on a show for the witnesses before they leave. :thumb:

I've seen this posted elsewhere before.

That titanium would've been better used on a road bike IMO.

jimmytango 10-10-12 11:16 PM

It seems nice, but that saddle looks painful.

Found it, it was from '07

nevergreen 10-10-12 11:40 PM

Would ride the hell out of that. Not with that saddle, though -- that thing looks it could end up inside your butt if you make one false move.

That was an interesting mental image...

markaitch 10-11-12 05:22 AM

didn't competitive cyclist buy merlin from litespeed awhile back with promises to re-build the brand? too bad been no progress there...

striknein 10-11-12 05:30 AM

Pretty sure we have a thread where you show off pictures of your bike.

Yep, I got that from my friend Ben Mok's blogspot....Sadly he has passed away, killed by a drunk driver while riding his bicycle. He was knocked down on 21 Mar 2010 at 09.25pm and was in coma until he died on 24 Mar 2010.

prooftheory 10-11-12 08:57 AM

That sucks. (The death, not the bike. I'm indifferent about the bike.)

cc700 10-11-12 11:53 AM

why aren't the tires titanium?

or the bearings inside the headset?

kinda over it.

Nagrom_ 10-11-12 12:02 PM

needs titanium straps too.

Scrodzilla 10-11-12 12:05 PM

Sick markaitch foot retention bro.

mconlonx 10-11-12 12:33 PM

No Ti nipples?!? Fail!!!

Fantastic Ti fetish piece, though. A+ for effort and execution.

IthaDan 10-11-12 02:18 PM

Cool, but I'm never buying a new bike with a quill stem ever again. Ever.

by far the most weight-irresponsible choice on this bike. but to hold that opinion regardless of weight concerns is... well, i think it's dumb. i love my two quill bikes. i hope for a third.

cruiserhead 10-11-12 04:59 PM

I haven't seen the Morati name in a long time. They make a nice ti bike as well, wonder if they are still around...

that saddle looks like a great way to slice your femoral artery

Dannihilator 10-11-12 08:42 PM

I know that there is a charge plug frame that is Ti, but that thing is rare and $1200 for the frame.

Titanium != Magnesium

dookie 10-11-12 09:07 PM

ti fork is my only real concern. having ridden some considerably beefier welded ti mtb forks that were flexy as hell, this road fork (is that really lugged?) has got to be scary. put a nice carbon front end on and i'd ride it like a boss.

oh, and you could have used ti foil ribbon to wrap the bars maybe?
