Tire sizing - Gatorskins vs Durano Plus

Tire sizing - Gatorskins vs Durano Plus
My current Gatorskins are 28's, and that just barely clears my fork. I'm looking to replace them with Durano Plusses. I understand that Gatorskins run more narrow than most other tires, should I move down to 25's for the Duranos? Does anyone have experience with both?

Your cog is slipping.
The Durano Plus does run a little big. If clearance is tight with a 28 Gatorskin, go for 25s.

I haven't. I did try to squeeze in a 25 Vittoria Diamante Pro but it rubbed the fork so I ended up using a 23.
Do you have the standard Gara or the MMXII? I'm pretty sure the fork on the MMXII has a wee bit more clearance.

It's the MMXII. It must have a bit more room - I have the 28 Gatorskin on there now, and it still has maybe 2mm on either side.
