miche bb?

Can miche primato advanced cranks be used with any square taper bb or does it have to be a miche one?

thanks

it needs to be an ISO interface with the right spindle size (107mm). Any BB with those specs are fine.

Which pretty much limits you to a Miche BB.

or not...

Kinex are the European manufacturer of Miche bottom brackets.
According to Velosolo shop Miche 107mm bb is discontinued.

They weren't available for a while but I just ordered a dozen of them for the shop from a major US distributor so I don't think that's true.

Probably not helpful, but Sugino still makes a loose-ball ISO BB in 109mm.

Scrodzilla 12-01-12 11:56 PM

I'm not sure where you learned to do math but 109mm is not 107mm.

Im not sure if you read what he said but from what i read it looked like he posted "Probably not helpful" which im assuming he knew he was supplying information for a bb with the wrong size?

if not ill buy you a waffle.

I'm going to start giving people the wrong answers in the 'Ask Scrod' thread and begin all my posts with "Probably not helpful but...".

GENESTARWIND 12-02-12 03:17 PM

no waffle for you

ThermionicScott 12-02-12 05:49 PM

I knew the desired BB size was 107mm, but we're talking a 1mm difference per side. As long as there are 107mm options, my post can simply be ignored.

I've thought those pisstard wheels were pretty cool. I haven't been able to dig up much info on them other than they're not bad. Not the lightest things ever at 930F/1130R (2060g set) but I like that the front is a 24h radial.

xavier853 12-03-12 08:39 PM

You pretty much summed they up.

Why would this matter if the wheel is that heavy? You can build a 32h wheel laced 3X that weighs less.

Yeah, that's what I realized. I like the looks of the low spoke count and radial lacing but that's about as far as it goes.

I played around on prowheelbuilder.com with the 24/28h miche hubs and realized that the 12 spokes you'd save don't make up for how much heavier miche hubs are than 32h novatecs.
