Wheels: Build or Buy? / Budget Wheelset
I'm positive this has been discussed, didn't see it.
Building up a low-budget fixed gear, and I'm in the market for a cheap wheelset that is decent quality. Right now I'm looking at the Eighthinch Amelia wheelset, for $110 shipped with everything it seems like a score. I don't want to spend much more than that since I'm doing such a budget build. Going to be a road bike, would like a flipflop rear hub.
Or, would it be cheaper / the same price for a better quality set if I built my own?
Or, is there a better deal out there that I'm missing?
Thanks

Still kicking.
Pre-built, spokes are starting to get ridiculously expensive.
