what happened is that my left clip is squashed so when I try to pull my foot out of it my whole frame goes with me. I have no idea what happened on tremont but i still blame the clip.

[QUOTE=bostontrevor]Yeah, for sure. Maybe a longer ride next time (or maybe I'm the only one).

I'd be down with a longer ride, especially if we skip newberry st next time.

Basically, any ride which ends up at food is my kind of thing.

hmmm Blue ribbon is only 9 miles from my house, that shouldn't be too bad of a ride.
I think we could do a themed ride: bike shops of boston, tour de mass ave ect. hey would anyone be down for a ride to the ANT bike factory, see if we could get a tour?

bostontrevor 02-07-05 07:26 AM

Holliston? For sure! Just so you know, it'll be a bit of trek. I just MapQuested it and it comes out to 21 miles one way. That's about what we spun on Saturday by the time I got home.

Alexi 02-07-05 11:06 AM

there is supposedly a bike path to the ant factory. prob not the next ride, i'll have to build up some stamina first.

bostontrevor 02-07-05 11:50 AM

I believe this is the Upper Charles Rail Trail which starts in Ashland but it hasn't been completed yet. I'll check with some people to see what folks recommend for a route. I see Mike's participating in the Holliston Mill Open Studios April 30 & May 1. We'd have to get there by 4pm. We could aim for that day or ask Mike if we could show up earlier.

I'm fine with either.

Alexi-
Here is the link to the Chris King headset I was talking about. Looks like it is the threaded version only:

I guess that won't really help you but damn that is cheap(in comparison that is)!

Alexi 02-08-05 12:14 PM

hmm yeah I keep seing the nothreads on e-bay for like 89 bucks "buy it now"

straylight 02-09-05 11:01 AM

Ah, wow. Redbones. Having just relocated to Austin from Cambridge, this thread has brought a tear to the old salty eye.

Kruez Market, eh? I'll have to investigate, but if they don't have Buffalo Shrimp, it's but a pale comparison.

hammye 02-09-05 11:12 AM

"Pale in comparison"**********? Go eat there and then just try to type that out. Kruez market is perhaps the best BBQ I have ever had.

straylight 02-09-05 12:02 PM

Alright, it's on. I'll round up a posse of the Austin-based Redbones faithful, we'll throw on our Rib Riders tees and bring our own pint glasses and we'll invade Kruez. ;)

Though I always found that Redbones' atmosphere is what really made it the perfect destination, rather than the food alone. Honestly, it's one of the only things I miss about Boston (save for the very acute lack of old road frames in Austin).

bostontrevor 02-09-05 12:20 PM

Well if we're talking BBQ, Red Bones is good but I really think Blue Ribbon in Arlington is the best I've ever had.
