28c thickslicks on kilo tt with tektro r350 brakes?

Does anyone know if I'll have caliper rub issues with 28c thickslicks and the brakes that come stock on a kilo tt stripper?

Possibly yes. I know that Kilos don't have huge tire clearance. Plus, a 28c ThickSlick is actually bigger than 28c. Maybe someone with a Kilo/ThickSlicks can chime in.

I never cease to be amazed at how many people want to stuff fat tires or even fenders in a bike like the Kilo TT, which has extremely tight clearances. Of all the "track" bikes sold by bd, with the possible exception of the MTT, the Kilo TT has the tightest clearances. If you want to put fat tires on a track bike and still have fairly trackish geo, there are so many far better choices (All-City Big Block, Surly Steamroller etc). The kilo TT is meant for skinny tires, period. Not hatin' on you OP, just telling it like it is.

28c thickslicks won't fit. a normal 28c tire is going to have issues with the stock brake caliper.

28c ThickSlicks are ****ing huge. There's no way you're stuffing one into a Kilo's fork. Maaaaybe in the back without a brake but even then, it's iffy because it seems no two Kilos are alike.

And TT is right.

I managed a 30c kenda cross tire with mine, but like Scrod said no two kilos are alike.

Try it out, if it fails, buy a different bike.

Lilcphoto, which brake do you use? That doesn't look like the stock tektro 350.

I hate you, I thought TT was back because of this necro bump.

If you're talking about front brake, just get a new fork.
