For what I use it for (groceries, big bags of dog food, cases of water, toilet paper, etc) it was worth the $. The TCB rack is another option and super nice.

OK this is my first post, and my first single speed project, so be gentle! This was an Austrian Puch Pegasus road bike (80's?) that was rescued from a tip. I stripped it, painted, and added new wheels, chainset, pedals, chain. Headset, seat, bars and brakes were recycled due to limited funds. I am pretty happy with the result. It did it to replace a stolen Vitus Dee single speed, but am now worried I made it look too nice and this one will be stolen too. Anyway here she is:

Thanks...now all I want to do is find old frames and turn them into SS, it was such a fun project. I think I must have caught some kind of bug...

thats correct. I doubt ever running a freewheel on this one so a front brake is plenty.
I ride the hoods quite a bit and it would be silly to have just one.

Looking good Elemtee

Just finished this rebuild this morning for my boy (its still SS!). It was a pink Huffy that had decals all over. Striped the frame and repainted. New tires, new chain. He's happy.

I am thinking is it possible splitting the cable into 2/combining 2 cables so that you can use both levers for front brake

Find some frames with tighter geometry, the bike will look much better.

Because how it looks is the most important thing.

Why would you even want to do this?

umm sounds dangerous.
if i remember, problem solvers has a gizmo that allows two levers to operate a single brake.

my brake levers are spring loaded so the unused one does not rattle around and stays quiet during a ride.
