Thanks Calv, I just want to get a matching set of cranks, and either when Velomine restocks their TB14s to formula or Scrod has a sale I'll buy a new wheelset.

Some mighty chainslack for riding brakeless.

striknein 03-15-13 02:01 PM

That Pake is screaming for a low flange front. I dig it so much tho.

yeah I was too lazy to take a link out of the chain; it was all river side MUP riding so I never got to a place where it would have been much of an issue

Nice, I am thinking of getting those. And I really like your setup, looking at the Pake frames they seem so plane, but I really like how you did yours.

ColonelJLloyd 03-15-13 07:51 PM

This bike is super comfortable. I'm not crazy about the bar, though. I need to switch it with a Cinelli that has a rounder bend and deeper drops.

TMonk 03-15-13 08:20 PM

why the hell don' those pakes come w bottle mounts?

$20 says 19/20 purchasers intend on using it on the road

Nagrom_ 03-15-13 08:21 PM

$50 says 99/100 track frames are used on the street.

ColonelJLloyd 03-15-13 08:32 PM

That is pretty lame.

FakeFuji 03-15-13 08:38 PM

I don't think there is anything wrong with that, unless it it something like a Jamis Sonic or other rediculusly thick tubed aluminum track bike. That just seems so unpleasant to ride on a street to me. I think wabi is really the best at making a fixed gear road bike that doesn't pretend its going to see a banked corner.

To be fair it's only set up the way it is because it's currently my only bike. When I finish my roadie it'll be my designated track bike and occasional burrito getter.

calv 03-15-13 09:05 PM

I don't think it matters and your Pake looks awesome.

i agree with the bar swap idea... but i'll be damned if this isn't one of the best looking conversions i've seen. well done.

Why convert? That would make a kickass geared ride. At least a 1x7 or 8.
Sweet frame though.

because I already got another one for my geared ride, my previous 1984 Raleigh Team :)
