Just said to a guy do not ride brakeless, it is no longer cool! Was I right, was I wr

On ebay, somebody asked if those Roadtopista adaptors that I make are safe for brakeless riding.
I answered, yes they are safe , also for curb hopping, if well implemented, etc....
Then I have added:"However, do not ride brakeless! It is no longer cool. And if you break the chain (it happens sometimes) you are in major trouble."

The guy got pissed off and back answered like this:
" Right, so you take me for some trend following hipster **** correct? I ask a sensible question and you come back with that. Thanks for your time. "

I have apoligized to him, however what do you think?

1) I was totally wrong?
2) I was kind of wrong, but it is better to have evidence that you are not encouraging brakeless riding, especially if you are selling stuff to those people?
3) I was kind of right. Anybody asking for brakeless riding gets told, don't. BTW it is no longer cool in 2013...?

I made similar bolt on dropout converters a while ago, although mine seem a lot better.

How can you get away with only anchoring it on a single axis? Seems pretty impossible to line it up properly.

I'm not brakeless, but I have friends that are, and I totally respect that.

He needs to make it 4-5" taller so he can fix that pesky sloping top tube. That's the REAL problem...

Not sure if shilling to boost sales or if serious.

Either way, you win the January 2013 Championship for longest thread title.

Man, those things are ugly. Just get a frame with horizontal dropouts or track style fork ends ffs. Ugly bike too as the demo.

I'm more offended by the jank ass fasteners- galvanized grade-2 bolts don't exactly scream "quality". That's just lazy product development- many a turd has been shilled, but never without the proper polish.

E: Jesus, did you trim the bolts with an angle grinder?

E2: see it works because the weight of the rider keeps the chain tight and...

Thanks, OP. We haven't had any threads about brakeless riding in at least two weeks. We were dying for another one.
