Even has a reflector in the rear wheel, for more street cred no doubt.

It's on upside down, though.

:p I hadn't noticed. Maybe it that way on purpose, 'cause he is a rebel.

This is dumb and won't prevent a damn thing...

Plus, there's no way the light that creates the front of the line would clear the legs if a rider were actually on the bike.

hardboiled718 11-07-15 10:46 PM

^ I wouldn't say that's totally JA. While I wouldn't be in any rush to go out and buy one it's just a regular rear light with an added feature for more visibility. I saw someone riding with on of those styled lights mounted under the saddle, his legs didn't block the light and the lines were really bright.

velofinds 11-07-15 11:51 PM

It's not a new concept.

SpeshulEd 11-09-15 08:50 AM

I saw one of those lights in person once, as a driver, i don't think I'd notice the lights on the road all that much...as a cyclists, I tried to catch up to the guy so I could ride in between the lines.

I am not sure if I already said but, I bought one of those rear lights but the lasers were really weak (completely washed out by car headlights) and the lines far too close for car-passing comfort, even in this video. I think it might help pavement cyclists who do not want other pavement cyclists to come too close.

Noli Timere 11-16-15 10:09 AM

The lines are great for draining the battery, as well.

It's the reverse mullet of bicycles.

I'm sending that to a friend...he owns a few older Litespeeds and is going to have a stroke.

I remember when REI used to sell them...I lusted over them so bad.

What's the deal on that chainring? It looks like the Olympic "Shimano" style but smaller like a 132bcd

hardboiled718 11-19-15 06:57 PM

it's definitely 144 BCD, from what i understand they're both made by shimano and olympic grade but the ones printed with dura ace were limited production and really rare.

johnnytheboy 11-19-15 07:16 PM

that litespeed sucks. but at the same time, it's also kinda rad.

The Dura Ace with that rear wheel and seat are priceless!

seau grateau 11-20-15 05:31 AM

I still want one of those leopard saddles.

There is one sitting in the take-off bin at a shop around the corner from me for only $10 that I've often been tempted to grab...but I think this bike has cured me of that :twitchy:

TimothyH 11-20-15 08:40 AM

My heart dropped into my stomach when I saw that poor Litespeed. I literally said, "Oh no!" out loud.

It reminds me of Ralphy in the movie Christmas Story when his mom dresses him up in the bunny suit and he is so embarrassed.

Take it off!!!

Same.

SpeshulEd 11-20-15 10:01 AM

I've seen that Litespeed before. Also, does the person have knick-knacks in a fish tank?

Cyril 11-20-15 11:43 AM

He DOES have knick-knacks in his fish bowl.
AND his pool table felt is red.
There's a lot of evidence in this picture that the owner of the litespeed has questionable taste.

TimothyH 11-20-15 01:18 PM

I would show that frame so much love if it were mine.

jlafitte 11-20-15 07:14 PM

It's jack to us but y'all know it takes all kinds...
