http://theradavist.com/wp-content/up...8-1335x890.jpg The front triangle is stainless, which is what you see showng thru in the logos etc. There is no carb. The last hole near the seat tube is the hidden seat post binder. The smoking device is also full stainless so it's smoke able. Works very very well. http://theradavist.com/wp-content/up...7-1335x890.jpg http://theradavist.com/wp-content/up...2-1335x890.jpg |
i hate this bike. not just because its stupid. but because it has an incredible paintjob and the rest of it would be a rad bike if they didnt ask john prolly how to make a bike
|
This bike is really cool and really stupid all at once, Bravo!
|
Yeah, reminds me of the tryhard bikes with the bottle opener built into the frame. Like you have to show people how much you're a rad party dude...as if you never have access to a bottle opener.
I know it's a gimmicky show bike but still. Might as well have a polished table that sit on top of your stem for cutting lines. I do think this is hilarious....a local bike museum has a 1999 Tour de France commemorative Trek 5500 on display. Love the add-on. Dammit - I meant to comment on that Kindaslow-esque Specy back when it 1st popped up here but lost track...
I don't feel like searching for the story to link but IIRC it was purpose-built so a pretty big-name racer who had suffered a serious back/neck injury & was unable to bend over could train while recovering so maybe it is not quite as JA as it would seem at 1st glance Since you got me in the spirit - how about this new and improved version of one of my old favorites that I posted awhile back... http://i66.tinypic.com/330r5ld.jpg |

I always thought of the same way. If someone posted my bike here with a hilarious comment about it, I would most likely find it funny too. Right now I have a rear disc wheel and riser bars...that's total JA. Can't expect everyone to like everything. I'll sometimes post bikes in this thread that I think are JA but would still have a blast riding them. If the owners loves the bike, that's all that really matters.

Nothing personal here and I don't think I saw your bike posted anywhere in this thread - but it is kindaodd that you didn't react so poorly to the ribbing you got when that S-works was originally posted, and that you choose to ignore the fact that I just somewhat defended it. Selective outrage much?
Time to go ride... |

Time to go ride... All is good. I hope you enjoyed your ride! |
I'm not sure if I found this here on a long-lost page but in any case it's worth reposting

Total misunderstanding. I am not the least bit upset about your comment. I was concerned folks might go a direction that would make the mods threaten to close the thread. And, the earlier smartass post also had a PM from him to me, just checking in that I was OK with it, which I was. And, luckily, I had a great opportunity for pay back later that week.
All is good. I hope you enjoyed your ride! |

http://i.imgur.com/u4zTdVZ.jpg Have you ever seen an entry level aluminum novara with full DA9000? I have. |
There have been mutli page threads and zombie threads where people defended their GMC Denali to the death.

theres a whole contingent of people that literally ride cross country on walmart bikes, because if (when) it breaks they just go to a walmart and get another one for like $10, since walmart is everywhere.
the whole concept troubles me deeply. |

I feel like it would be pretty easy to just ride one out of the store.

Not saying I do it, but I have several friends that have worked as managers in big box retail, you wouldn't believe some of the stuff people just walk in, pick up, and walk out with. No one stops them, even when the alarm goes off. |
omw home i saw a kid with a walmart plus bike. it was propped up on a kick stand. i cringed.
problem with retail is the employees cant legally accuse anyone of anything, nor can they touch them. people know this and just pick **** up and bounce. |
