Pfft. Do it brakeless or GTFO
If you saw it locked to a parking meter, then yes, it would be jackass. But there is nothing jackass about a purpose built vehicle to test land speed records.
To test land speed records?
100mph was broken like... +60 years ago? |
i thought it might be jackass and then i thought it might not be since it was just for trying to go 100mph. figured it was worth sharing anyway
I'm pretty sure someone else has gone around the track faster than you, Nagrom but I don't see that stopping you from riding. I dunno, maybe we are all just tapped out of finding good examples of JA bikes - it just feels a little forced lately.
I guess that's kind of an argument?
Yeah, I wasn't really articulate there. I guess my argument is : so what if the record was set ages ago? Why should that stop someone from trying it today, or even just to build a bike with a set speed goal in mind? Are you suggesting that makes the guy a jackass?
No, but using a <1400g carbon wheelset on a bike meant to break 100 is.
Death wish. |
Hey now, the only thing forced is that light blue seat on the jolly green jiant bike, haha.

What's up with the seatpost, though? Looks like a scraped up piece of sidewalk chalk from the front. Modded with a dull keyhole saw? End of the brake lever really should be outboard of the bars, though. Some people just don't know how to set up bum bars! |
I need myself a stem saddle too!

(is there a pub-bikes subculture I need to know about?) PS - oh yeah, has anyone else heard of the 'golden caliper' rule? This bike seems to have a pair installed. Basically, if the ladie's ass won't fit between the grips, she's too big to ride. |
