It may be reaching but I think it's silly. A bunch of quality parts thrown together without thought and with any weight of that rack, it would ride like $hit. Individually, each part belongs in the porn thread. Together, it belongs here.

i think its pretty great.
of course overkill for a porteur townie remove rack, replace risers with drops and youd love it. |

Also, those njs bikes have a lot of toe overlap, and you have to be very careful riding them on the street. Even normal turns can be a problem. The gearing seems to be very tall for the street as well, especially if you are hauling groceries. |

You're probably right. I wouldn't give it a second look if it didn't have the rack. Although I hope he saved the original fork.

i dont hate the wound up on there to be honest, and i dont usually like them
i kind of want that bike. |

yah im in the "that bike is kind of awesome" camp...
i mean i see your point...track specific bikes arnt exactly the best candidate for installing a rack. a little silly but still a far cry from jackass IMO... besides im sure the most weight that front rack sees is a 6-pack and a sweatshirt. the wound up looks really cool on that frame... the saddle seems down-pointing a touch too much though...my understanding a degree or two down or up from level is fine but that down-pointing and your butt is starting to slide and weight is being transfered from your butt to your hands. but i digress... hey check these out lol http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3Y2I3sHlzw...80284918_n.jpg http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0Fer0_3rTW...11219861_n.jpg http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8dseQ29buA...19466393_n.jpg http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-A44WotV__X..._5156243_n.jpg http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-H0zH7ge6E2...94641853_n.jpg i imagine the owners to look something like this http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=321835 |

Anyhow they're pretty well built cranks IMO n they're made in 'MURICA. But $$$. |
Would be perfect for a gaudy-ass Ciocc build, but would probably still make its way into this thread.

How would he use a rear hub in the front? Also, no cog threading.
I have no idea what they are. |

What a waste of a shiv.... I would like to see someone riding this however as pictured. I wonder if the bike has the nickname "back breaker".

I have no idea what they are. Idunno man, some of the bikes in this thread blow my mind with their jerry-rigged engineering lmao |
