Bullhorn Bars and A Paul Duplex Lever.

Hello fellows,

I really want this Paul Components Duplex Lever for my SS BUT I also would like to switch to a set off bullhorn bars. Only problem is I can't find a set of bullhorn bars with a 22.2 grip diameter... any ideas where I could find one so I can have my ideal set up? (I'd rather avoid buying a new stem as well, so what I'm really looking for is a 25.4 clamp with a 22.2 grip) but if I have to I'll just get a new stem...thank you for your advice!

That is the size(s) of my Origin-8 bullhorns.
Might want to email them to be sure, as mine are a few years old.

Looks like the Origin 8's are 26.0

https://www.amazon.com/Origin8-BullHo...gin+8+bullhorn

I know the Fyxation Bullhorns have a 25.4 clamp diameter, but not too sure if it tapers at all to be any smaller.

Edit : I have a set of the Origin 8 risers sitting here, the clamp is 26.0 but it tapers down to be the size your looking for. I dont think youd have any issues using the Origin 8 26.0 Bullhorn.

Leo - he's talking about the overall bar diameter, not the clamp area.

As far as I know, Origin 8 bullhorns are 23.8mm - just like most other handlebars.

Yeah pretty much all riser and flat bars are 22.2...I guess cause mtb and bmx use those diameters for their break levers still. So even if that same company makes a bullhorn they're most likely not going to be 22.2. I did just find these however: https://www.crowcycleco.com/bicycle-c...-straight.html
never heard of crowcycleco but they are 6061 aluminum and there are like 10 black ones still available on eBay...looks like I've done it! 38 wide as well, pretty much exactly what I was looking for...hopefully they're not total crap...I'm just happy they aren't steel.

I know this is redundant at this point, I think my Origins were bigger than 23.8 because when I put them on my bike, I needed to spread the gooseneck a little with with a big tool to fit the clamping part of the bar. But, the grip ends are 22 according to a cheepo mm gauge attached to my multi-tool.

That's a score. I might pick some up myself.

Thought I'd drop a pic of the finished product:

The lever was still really snug going on, I also wrapped my bars backwards apparently and couldn't get the damned tape stuffed into the bar end, so I had to use finishing tape on the ends. Kind of a mistake to use pricey tape for my first wrap job haha. Also replaced my badge with a reflective ironic mustache.

You can stuff the tape. You just need to cut it correctly and maybe use a smaller plug. I'm to lazy to try to diagram it right now plus someone will probably LMGTFY so there's that.

I've been surprised that there has not been more interest in these bars. But whatever!
