I have one of those for travel and I just put a sheet of paper towel over the lid. It catches the splatter and allows the steam to escape.

I/ We always handwash our cycling gear following a soaking in water, then hang dry. I don't trust our washer.

Cold water + woolite in the sink for 10mins.....wring dry then hang.
I wash mine after every use.
Today I put in 29mi on the cervelo.....I've ridden about 180mi in the last 4 days. Might not be a lot to some of you guys, but I'm trying to get my mileage up again- gotta start somewhere!

doin' good! i'm doing 160ish a week right now and it seems like a lot. it's been hard for me to find the right balance of work/bike/life during the week, especially with a bunch of my buddies (none of them bike) just getting back in town doing internships (i'm a converted full-time employee from last summer) and the half-hearted search for a home... still figuring it out!

Today as I was coming in my door, the neighbor kid asked me if I could fix his bike because they always see me coming and going with a bike. Needed a new tube and he broke his back brake somehow, got it at least rideable for the little dude, then went and got tacos/tecates and on the way out we were looking at this dudes bikes real quick(nothing special just a kilo with a brooks saddle) we just heard, "Can I help you with something?" from outside on the patio. Dude was super agro for no reason, though I think it was just a brand new bike since it had absolutely no dirt on it and he was worried about our thievery.

Changed a flat in 9 minutes from texting my ride group I just got a flat as it aired down to being inbound to the meetup. I was pleased, now I bet some of you can do it in 3, but it's a new PR for me .

Also got a call back for a full time mechanic position at a Sports Basement.

Waiting on Performance now.

Skid through the front door on your Kilo and trackstand on the sales floor until they give you a full time.

...Did a 55 mile ride....found it to be kind of boring. Felt strong though, could of done 45 more. I think I just do not like long rides. Think I will jist stick to 20 to 30 for a while.

Today I had a good ride with some friends and ended up doing 61 miles.

I also checked my tracking number saw my package was delivered. Only problem? It was not delivered to my place. I really hate usps. The confusing part is I got another package delivered by them today so how do you deliver one package correctly and lose my other package but claim it was delivered on the tracking info.

they've lost a lot of my stuff in the past 4 months, both as a recipient and sender. thankfully nothing huge like a frameset, but jeez... they are terrible at their jobs and their prices are equally terrible now.

i called my local usps station and complained about the dude delivering my stuff and it seems to have corrected itself when i'm the recipient, but a week ago they lost $40 worth of pretty awesome stuff i sent to a buddy.
