Today I...broken spoke.

Not sure how it happened exactly, but everything else seems to be fine.

Worked 11.5 hours in the aftermath of a ridiculous storm. Wind gusts up to 95mph. 16,000 people without power.

I need a beer or 5.

Today I went over my bars for the first time in my life. I managed to catch the bike before it followed me to the ground, and bring it down gently so the only thing that took any damage were my bar plugs... and my knee. Not nearly as scary as I always thought it would be.

worked for 8 hours. came home intending to go for a ride, but instead, passed out on my bed from exhaustion.

Woke up around 10. Finished building the langster pro, albeit with a saddle not of my choosing (waiting for the actual one to arrive).

Took it for a spin. Felt good man.

Now just having beers.

My dog eats them. We simply cheer him on from the couch. Best reason to own a pet!

finally finished off the Surly 1x1 full rigid mtb. so much fun.

got to take it for a spin around the property before the skies opened up again (lots of flooding here, about 6" standing water in my garden).

then the wife indoctrinated me into the "Way of the WASP", with Sapphire martinis. danger danger.....

Got a free mid 90s(I'm guessing) Trek 820 from my roommmate who's moving out. Gonna probably build it up into a simple single speed MTB so I can do some sweet trails around here.

Two days without riding for me.

On the upside, spoke has been replaced and all bike maintenance that I've been putting off has been completed - even cut the steerer tube a bit.

Tomorrow morning will be glorious!

Spent most of the day on the couch with some stomach thing. Then I farted around with the monocog for a bit.

My wife's dragging me around to a few open houses tomorrow.

Same. I think my fall yesterday and the desperate attempt to not slide down the hill sent my innards into shock. Been feeling so crummy and farty
