Well, lots of things actually but thats besides the point. I work in the financial/SOMA area and there isnt a decent mexican place around -- all the good ones are way out of the way. So yeah.

Surprisingly, not every street in CA has a taco stand on the corner.

Surprisingly, I grew up in Venice, CA. Surprisingly I know what I'm talking about. Surprisingly there are taco places all over the place. Surprisingly, I'd just not eat tacos if Taco Bell was the only thing around.

Surprisingly.

hehe

Yep, quite a few. The midwest has big pockets of Hispanic folks, so you can find lots of them. Lots of El Salvadoran places too.

Unfortunately there are a ton of guero places popping up all over, with fancy tacos and big whiskey menus, and Luchadore themes. It's pretty disgusting.

Today I found out that I still need to take a PoliSci class and Health class to qualify for an AA degree. UUUGGGGHH I thought I took care of all the general ed. stuff years ago and I could just get the AA when I finish the welding program. I don't need a lecture on the Constitution and how to put on a condom. The counselor even said these will be equivalent to the courses I took in high school.

What? Dude, there are countless good taquerias in SOMA and the Financial district. I'm pretty sure it's actually harder to find a Taco Bell. What streets are you by?

Check out Tropisueño, it's in that alley next to the church on Mission. My favorite spot was over at 2nd and Mission, but I think it's closed now. My second favorite is probably El Faro on 1st between Market and Mission, but I don't know if that's too far of a walk for you (hint: it's not too far of a ride

Oh man, I wish I had known about that when I was working there. I spent a good chunk of my time in the city craving a good deli-style sandwich. Also, if you do make it over to 1st & Mission, I highly recommend getting a garlic noodle dish from Perilla, soo goood.

Problem is the semester system. I will likely take them this summer or next winter so I can finish up next semester.
