I have to admit that the White Lighting clear grease is awesome in that regard. And no odor. NONE. Completely fragrance free, which is kinda eerie and amazing at the same time.
I understand adding different ingredients for different reasons. But how the f'k do you suck ALL the smell and color out of a Grease? Seriously. An aluminum based soap, mixed with complex oils, pressure resistance additives, high temp additives, etc, etc. Seriously, what process after that recipe removes all traces of ANY pigment or odor whatsoever. Crazy science.

Sorry if I missed your previous post about clear grease.
A point of interest which really doesn't change your argument, but the primary purpose of any lubricant is to prevent two surfaces from contacting. Low wear and less friction are a result. Two parts which don't contact each other cannot have friction. The focus on friction is really just marketing BS. "Our oil has less friction" is Madison Ave trying to sell oil to guys who drive Dodge Chargers.
As one who owns Shimano Dura Ace wheels, thank you for this. I mean that sincerely.
Do you know of a product called Wakos Brake Protector? It is an extremely tacky lubricant designed for the back of brake pads and I ask because it comes from the motorcycle industry.
My guess is that it is similar in functionality to products designed to prevent disk brake squeal. Some guys are using it for press fit bottom brackets and swear that it is the final solution for creaking. Seems to make sense.
Only curious. I'm not about to buy it. Super expensive.If you fast forward to about 1:30 in the video below you will see how tacky the stuff is and the guy says that it is a pain to get off your fingers. "Extremely, madly sticky" are his words. Your comment above about how easy Crystal Grease is to wash off made me think of this.

As we already know, grease's job is to be in between two metal object, preventing friction. It can be pushed or rolled off of bearing surfaces in some situations if it isn't tacky enough. He went further to say that very tacky is what he would look for in a grease to be used in low speed loose ball applications (bikes).
After all my mistakes I think I now see why Shimano did exactly what they did when defining the specs for Dura-Ace grease. Dura-Ace hubs use no ball retainers, so assembly time at the factory matters. Their grease is a color, so it can be seen, unlike the clear grease. It is a very light color and translucent so it can be seen through. That helps with assembly and identifying contamination.
Those Shimano "look-alike" qualities are what attracts me to Motorex. I've read some posts in other forums where guys say, "Yeah, yeah, and it's got the exact same super sticky texture as Dura-Ace." The only problem is that it has a "normal" drop point, so I can't use it in my rear hubs. That's where the @UncleRico Redline will probably reside, since it's heat rated for nuclear war survival.

Went for a 25 mile ride, started cooking once I got warmed up and felt pretty good. A bored cop yelled at me because I clocked 30 in a 25 zone while going for a Strava PR, so I had to slow down for the last bit of it.

Bike paths around here have an official 20km/hr limit (even on wide open stretches), with those signs that show your speed and flash at you if you go over. My reaction: 
It's a good illustration of the principle that if you make a rule too restrictive people won't pay any attention to it at all (or will just take shortcuts around it). You've got to set a reasonable standard for people to take it seriously as a rule they should respect.

This came up before and I answered it, but I'll say it again.

I've used it on several loose ball hub and bb installations now and have been quite pleased. Easy installation (I had no trouble seeing it
), easy cleanup, good performance and durability. My only (small) complaint is that it could be a bit tackier to hold the balls in place while assembling hubs.I've got at least a couple thousand miles on two different bikes that have been assembled with it and ridden a fair amount in wet and dirty conditions. I'll probably pop everything open soon for repacking before winter hits; if I remember I'll take pics to show how it held up.

Yeah, he was sitting on his motorcycle by the radar sign. Not a lot happens in that neighborhood.
Do they enforce that at all? I've literally never seen a police officer on a bike path here, which is probably part of the reason homeless encampments pop up on them pretty frequently.

Today I put my front tubeless tire back on after rolling it off the bead in a crash, got my wheels trued after way too long with a tiny wobble, readjusted my pads and brake pressure and cleaned my bike.

Not that I've seen. I'm worried though.
Recently lots of places (parks, historical sites, walking paths) have been banning bikes (even if you're just walking with it) and enforcing the bans pretty strictly. A few weeks ago I got chased down by an angry security guard on a motorcycle after I'd failed to see a new No Bikes sign, and I've been blocked from walking my bike into several areas where I just wanted to stroll around/take a picture/relax/etc without having to leave my bike behind. Locking up has also been severely restricted in a lot of neighborhoods, including near subway stations and around the very areas you're not allowed to walk your bike into. And the restrictions seem to be picking up steam.
The whole thing really sucks, because irresponsible cyclists are a real problem, and I'm not only sympathetic to but supportive of efforts find a solution, but the current attempts seem destined to burden lots of people while doing little to nothing to address any of the actual problems.

Today.. I am super sore and not in the good way. Took the dog for a walk yesterday -- she was off leash running around, I was holding my phone in one hand, and the leash in the other. She came running at me full bore but I couldn't tell which way she was going to “turn” to miss me, so i stepped to the right and thats the way she turned. Totally took out my legs, fell flat on my face and on top of her at first i thought she broke my nose but just bled a little. I feel like ive been in a car accident — my neck and back is all stiff and is sore. She is totally fine. Damn dogs

I don't understand Amazon and the free 30 day trial of PRIME. They do it so often that I damn near have prime half the year. It's like free Half Prime. I've lost track of how many times I've done it. It seems like they'd have a filter that identified the accounts that have tried it and then eliminate them from the pool of allowable participants. As long as those popups keep popping up, I'll take it.

The other thing that I find odd about their strategy is they allow you to set an automatic cancel for the 30th day. Set it and forget it, auto-cancel. If they are trying to "catch" people (which does make sense) then they shouldn't provide such an easy/automated escape. Seems to me anyway.....

I was told of a way to generate additional invitations. And it seems to work too. Put a random item in your cart. I used diapers, seriously. Proceed to checkout. Go all the way to the last step and then close your browser. A few days later I received a notice that read something like, "As someone who was recently interested in 'Diapers', we'd like to invite you to join our 'Mothers Club', get special prices on, blah, blah, etc etc. Try PRIME free for 30 days to explore the Mothers Club benefits."
After free PRIME expires I just put something else random in my cart. Pastry bags, cake decorating tools, whatever. Now come the invitations to the "Kitchen Club".

It is not an accident that they repeatedly give away free Prime for a month, nor is it because they neglected to implement some control. They know exactly what they are doing.
My guess is that in the aggregate, Prime is simply a loss leader, that those with Prime order more stuff than those without and the additional sales make up for the shipping costs. It's a simple spreadsheet decision.
