Rode 5 miles to the station and took the 45 min Bart ride into San Francisco to climb some hills and see my best friends new baby boy. It was worth it.

Built a wheelset for my friend's Fuji Feather. She should be trouble free for some time now.

Today I was:
- verbally abused by a motorists who yelled "Why the hell don't you get a Peloton?" out his car window while passing.
- passed by a motorist who went into oncoming traffic just before the crest of a hill.
- passed by a motorist who went into oncoming traffic through an intersection while I signaled to make a left hand turn.
- rolled coal by a motorist who waited at the stop sign for me to catch up after I was super courteous to him, yielding the lane when I didn't have to, signal, etc.
I commuted 40 miles/day in New York and never had as much trouble as I did in suburban Atlanta tonight. Seriously, southern hospitality and politeness is a bunch of made up bull****.

Today I didn’t have a tool to install my new headset cups, so I quickly and crudely machined my own. Worked out great. I’m going to make a nicer version eventually.
Also! I’m in search of a rear wheel for my new build! Nothing crazy, but nothing heavy

sorry to hear that sir, I can get or make you nuts I’m sure... 10mm is only half the equation on threads. Also have you inspected the threads on the axle? If they look messed up in any way I might suggest finding the correct 10mm - pitch die to chase it with. Be careful though.

I Direct messaged you, but the punctuation and spelling may get a little funky because my phone hates me when I try to type things.

Been nerding out on Youtube bike fit videos lately and made some fit adjustments to the road bike today, hoping to alleviate some hand and shoulder/neck discomfort I've been having. Turned the handlebar down a bit and moved the shifters up a pretty substantial amount. Effectively reduced the reach by over 1cm and put the hoods in a more ergonomic position. I'll take it out for a ride tomorrow to see how it feels on the road.
Cutting the steer tube is on my to-do list.

Today I found a set of h plus son wheels laced to polished phil hubs (single-sided threading) plus tires (Hutchinson Fusion) and a 17t cog/lockring for $300 on Craigslist. Seems too good to be true. Owner claims there are less than 50 miles on the wheels too. Is this a really good set of wheels, or are the Wabi sub 15's better?

$300 would be a heck of deal again if they are real and not stolen and either in true or not badly out of true and using decent spokes (Sapim, DT Swiss, Wheelsmith or Phil Wood).
