bottom brack size for CINELLI OLYMPIC track frame?
Hey!
I'm a bottom bracket dullard. I know it's Italian but what's proper size needed for the bottom bracket for the Cinelli Olympic track frame? |
Yeah, I messed up my title. My brain hurts!

I think that would depend on what cranks and rear hub you'd be using. Italian shell denotes both the threading and the size of the unit (70mm), but the length of the spindle would be up to you, and it would need to give you the proper chainline based on what cranks and hub. If you buy a Pista Group (GRUPPO!) (Miche, Campag, Shimano, etc) then the BB is included and it will be sized properly to what you need. Otherwise, you need to determine what length spindle you require for the gear that you've already got.
But hey, nice frame you've got there. |
Depends on your cranks, depends on your chainline.

My crank & rear hub are Dura-Ace...

That's my ride. I don't remember what exactly the bottom bracket size was. all I know is that it had to be special order because my cranks originally came with american threading.

I think I'm running a 107 Athena spindle with C Record track cranks on my Olympic.
