2 months single ;)

its been 2 months now that i have gone single speed. im loving it, i m running 39/16 , here in malta is a bit hilly, ordered a 15t cog, i m waiting for it to arrive, but to be honest i think it will be a bit hard on hills, i ll wait and see. im also thinking of converting an old road bike to fixed, but since wi have lot of hills here i m a bit concerned, what do you suggest?, i mean fixed for hilly terrain, i m even more concerned going downhill to be honest

Make the single speed fixed. Keep the road bike geared.

Post pics.

my single speed was a geard cube road bike (not the real thing i know ) but i wanted to try it first, as far as i know , only another cyclist uses a single speed bike, and he s british...lazy country yes...i love track bikes especially the cinelli mash, but the fixie thing is something i have to sort out, i never drove one, and as i said its quite hilly here, definately will need a front brake...i l post some pics of my bike when i et home

Brakes help your bike slow down a lot. Everyone should use them, especially in a hilly place.

You can't use a chain tensioner on a fixed gear.
