Single speed/fixed gear for £400 ($607) or less

Can anyone find me a good fixie with a flip flop hub and bullhorn handlebars. I am 5 foot 4. I am male (no pink bikes :P) Can it be available in the U.K. and can it be £400 or less. I will use it for commuting, the journeys will be a mix of short and long. Thanks in advance. :)

Why can't you do it yourself?

vopos 06-01-13 08:54 AM

I need some opinions and some people who know some good companies

Fly me to the UK. I'll help you find the perfect bike.

I do hope someone else finds this thread and helps me...

You were asking us to do all the work for you. Just search around the internet for a little while, call some shops, and have a list of options that are available to you/in your price range. Then we can help you choose the best of those, or suggest something similar.

We's not personal shoppers.

Ok thanks

websterrr 06-01-13 11:57 AM

i've had no experience with State - but they look decent and economical for sure

Do you know any good companies, what ones have you had?

Everyone is probably hung over this morning... :)

At 5 foot 4 finding a bicycle that fits well always presents a little more challenge... for commuting I would suggest you seek a small road frame and convert that with a fixed wheel set.

Benefits would be better clearance for fenders, provisions for a rack and cargo, and the toe overlap issue will be reduced... as you are looking at a flip flop and sounds like you will be running SS front and rear brakes are also essential.
