Buy a new frame or a Kilo?
I have a Takara Kabuto piece of garbage. But I have upgraded the bars, brakes, levers and tires on it. It is now secondary bike as I got a Cross Check for my commuter/utility bike. The Takara is a little too big for me and the frame is a boat anchor. I was thinking about getting a new frame and transferring everything and then slowly upgrading the rest of the components. I've seen some decent frames in the $200 range so I am wondering if it's worth doing that or just buying a new Kilo complete for my single speed?

I would go the frame route, just IMO. One nice bike that you're proud of > Two mediocre bikes.

I doubt you can find a new frameset (frame + fork) for $200 that's any better quality than the frameset on the Kilo TT. Also, you still will need to buy a new headset and some of your existing components such as the seatpost may not fit in the new frame.
