Newbie needs help

Hey guys! So, as you can see, I'm new here. More importantly, I'm hoping to get my first single speed for Christmas this year! Ive ridden a BMX for most my life. I'm practically just looking for something cheap, yet still decent for a beginner. I also want the bike to look good though haha. So far I am thinking I'll get the 2013 SE Draft in matte black, Fyxation Accela Urban Tires in white, and I'll find some white drop bars with white tape (what bars/tape are cheap that fit this description?). I think the combo would look nice, but I just want some of your insight.

Thanks!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

It might be cheaper to find black bars and put white tape on them. Plus you should carry hand wipes or some waterless hand cleaner when you ride.

FSA, Deda and Fyxation (to name a few) all make drop bars in white.

You can get generic black ones, because you can get them from any discount bike catalog even if they don't specialize in fixed gear. I've seen them for as low as $7.

Then again, that's not so different from the price of what you really want...

Whatever tickles your pickle.

Our new buddies have them.

Of course, they are quite expensive at $26.99.

Thanks man, might just do that - my main concern was where/who do I go to to get the bars wrapped? Was thinking about white as if they mess up at all you could still just see white you know?

I know it's a cheap build but it is my first SS so I don't want too spend a huge amount.
