figured I'd ask this here before the mechanic forum since quite a few people seem to know about these hubs here. i found a set of used high flange DA hubs for really cheap online and basically dived in before getting a good look at them. they're slotted for bladed spokes and seem to be pretty worn. now, i'm kinda wondering if they're safe to build up...any insight appreciated. here's a couple of pics.

Looks fine to me. It doesn't look like it has major grooves from spokes in a previous buildup.
I know next to nothing though. Wait for a few more opinions. |
thats what u get for being CHEAP!

It looks fine, but can't really tell till I see the backside of flanges.
from the photo, it looks like the front hub was radially laced before. do you have photos of rear as well? you should lace them exactly as before to keep the risk minimum. |
they're slotted for bladed spokes and seem to be pretty worn. How are the bearings? Are all of the spoke holes intact? |
I'd probably build them up. Try to figure out how they were laced before, then I'd take a grinder or drill and drill the spoke holes smooth to eliminate the stress risers. Build up with spoke head washers.
