Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Nice. I actually get to be in a bike commuting psa on Friday. No doubt I will be riding my fixie although it will be in work clothes.

Why couldn't her bike bike a coaster SS? The other one has brakes.

They might just have really smooth pedal cadences. I mean, knowing is beautiful, after all. Maybe it makes you have a smooth pedal stroke.

I believe it's technically referred to as "a jimmy hat".

What's even better is that last summer I saw that girl and that guy on the subway in NYC. I noticed them because he had dyed grey hair and that messenger bag.

Raygunner,
GRID turned out to be wrong. It was something like Gay Related Immune Deficency. But it turned out to be an equal opportunity killer. So now we call it AIDS
