Suzue NJS for street use?

Nominal if ever track use, but how about street use? Do they hold up under normal use? Any comparison to say, a Paul hub?
Do they come in a 36 flavor?

loose bearings on the street = more maintenance needed. Go with the SBs - mine are 36h. This extends to both SB and NJS

I've got an Suzue pro max 'NJS' rear and its held up fine for commuting. Dust shields are pretty good but not perfect. Rebuild it every year just to be safe, though my friend has only performed one rebuild in about five years on his and its running fine.

I like them over the SB version as they don't seem to get loose ever. Never had to adjust the hub (except after a rebuild). I used to skid a lot with no problems.

Plus they're fixed/fixed which is great.

In SF the winter is really mild (just lots of rain) so its pretty easy on hubs. If you're going to be riding a lot in snow/slush/salt grit then the SB versions are probably the sensible choice.

36h is the only true NJS version of this hub.

San Diego's a dry place, so I don't have to worry about the rain/slush to much.

Though last Friday was a drencher...
