fixed gear choreographed "figure cycling" thing?

I've seen a few videos of people—usually women—performing sort of "figure cycling" routines on fixed gear bikes. Does anyone know what this is called, and/or where I can find more information about it? Every video I've seen has featured the same sort of bicycle: a fixed gear with what looks like a 1.0 ratio, a nearly vertical head tube, no horizontal stem reach, and handlebars that resemble an upside down drop bar. There is a lot of balancing on the rear wheel, sitting and standing on different areas of the bike as it moves, track stands and backward riding, and there is almost always sappy music. I'm curious about the geometry of these bikes, the history of the sport, anything really...

Its called Artistic Cycling according to the UCI, you can get rainbow jerseys for doing it really well. Germany is really good at it.
