Best foot straps?
Does anyone know which is best? In another thread one person recommended ynot, burro, re.load, hold fast, and Famli. What is good?

My guess is that any of those will do just fine. I've only tried Fyxation straps personally -- look pretty much identical to a few of those that you mention.
Had them now for eight months and they've been great for me. |

Had them now for eight months and they've been great for me. My purefix straps have held up well for the past 4 months and were pretty cheap. |
I have Retrogression straps, the ones that resemble R E Load's straps. I have other things from R E Load and their quality is top notch.

Hold fast was the first kid on the block, all the many many many others came later. 'just saying
|
They're all around the same quality, there's really no difference between all of the ones you named. If it matters I've been using the same Ynots for almost 4 years.

Hold fast or die.

try to find a local producer and support them

Get some eggbeaters. You'll never go back to straps.

"Best" is subjective.

I did, I rode with Eggbeaters for 2 years before switching to platforms and straps. For the riding I do platforms and straps just work better. I'm not likely to switch back at least for road. |
They're all about the same, I have a set of ynots just because my local bike shop had them.

I've got Fyxation and have had another brand. To be honest, I'm not a fan of the things and believe you'd be better off with plastic toe clips and straps - Giant even make a set of MTB pedals set up this way that, although cheap, work very well.
