I gotta give Fizik credit. Basically the entire original Kurve product line was defective (given enough time the shell would start to crack, regardless of rider weight). Knowing this, Fizik revised the line for 2015 and is offering free replacements. All I had to do was fill out a warranty form and attach a couple photos of the cracking. They shipped me a new 2015 model direct from Italy free of charge. No proof of purchase, no questions asked. :thumb:

Definitely the most comfortable saddle I've ever ridden, but too spendy to put on my commuter bikes.

Custom Schwinn Madison Fixed Gear Bicycle - Medium (54.5)

I really admire what this guy did with a Madison. Like most labors of love, you never get out of it what you put into it, however, I really do think he did a spot-on job dressing up this pretty blue Schwinn fixed gear.

Mine must've been an '86 I found a couple pics online, but they were so butchered I didn't even wanna post them here, for an example. That was a great bike though. That was my daily messenger bike for quite a few years.

I just finished a redo on an Atala of about the same vintage. Mine doesn't have Columbus tubing, and was a road bike, not trackie. I gave $150 delivered for the whole bike, but threw everything away except the frameset and fork.

I gotta believe they did get a pretty good deal. The only disappointment I had was the quality of the mnfr. details. Mine had brass splattered around all the lugs from sloppy brazing, which required removal. The bottom bracket threading was down and out ugly internally, assembled without much care. Just not a really well made build. Everything was straight, though. My build rides nicely.

Sure looks like original paint, d'ya think?

That Samson seemed like a good deal being original and a complete running pista.

bro 12-18-14 09:34 PM

yeah that samson was a steal. i wouldnt be caught dead on them wheels tho

but some kid would probably think theyre awesome so it wouldnt be a hard resell

Leukybear 12-18-14 10:57 PM

That samson looks more like a 58....

The parts on it are mediocre anyhow.

Scrodzilla 12-19-14 12:05 AM

The wheels on that Samson are ****ing stupid.

Seriously speaking, has anybody came into the store with them/ asked you to build such a set?

ivanfu 12-19-14 02:34 AM

Local guy pawned his bike, it's kinda sad, such a nice frame and he didn't even try selling it first.

You want $1000 for it? I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that.
Best I can do is $75

GENESTARWIND 12-19-14 08:15 AM

Ha ha that's what I said about the Samson on pedal room

TenSpeedV2 12-19-14 10:50 AM

Out of curiosity, what is wrong with that Giant? Seems like a very fair price compared to what I see them go for on eBay.

Nothing wrong, no scratches or dents and it wasn't used much either.
