I just looked these up since I have virtually no knowledge about them. Wow, they are expensive new -- so this would seemingly be a decent deal.

That was before I cut the fork, here's the final setup -

Sizing on this frame seems a little weird. The 48, 50 and 52 all have 52cm top tubes. I was going for stability and the 50 has the longest wheelbase and trail, so I went with that. This is a rando bike and clearance under the seat helps accomodate the larger bags and such that are going back there. Took it out for the first real ride yesterday, 100k. Rode great, very stable under load, so for now I'm feeling confirmed in my choice.

For Seattle people...
Viner Track bike. $175
1980's Viner Special Professional Bicycle
Looks like a fun bike with decent parts (ex...Selle San Marcos saddle)

Please someone here buy it and not someone that ends up screwing it up.

TenSpeedV2 09-27-15 08:28 AM

Ehh that Warhawk isn't that bad. I am liking the versatility of it.

Yeah, that's the only reason I'm not scooping it up. Incredible deal though...looks like 3T/Campy stuff too.

I just hope a bike enthusiasts gets it and not some dude that buys it/flips it for 3X the money.

velofinds 09-28-15 05:50 PM
