Having seen one in person, in the 90's, they are incredible bikes. It's one of a handful of bikes I can distinctly remember from my childhood.

Now I see that listing, and I think man, I wouldn't pay more than about $250 for that bike, even if it is brand new. Based on the bikes that are available now for that price, there is simply no way I would ever consider buying something like that.

Got a Mavic MA3 laced to an old Suzue hub for $30. Came with a freewheel on it, but I took it off and put a fixed cog on the other side.

Klein was one of those special companies that were doing things different at the time. While most MTB's were standard steel bikes, companies like Klein and Cannondale were pioneers in fatter aluminum frames with interesting shapes/thicknesses. Klein has even more of a cult following because it was a very small operation out of Chehalis Washington and Gary Klein was all about innovation. In the early 2000's Klein was bought out by Trek and they started getting that mass produced feel. The original bikes had absolutely incredible paintjobs, painted logos, one piece stem/bar combo (Mission Control 1 and 2), beautiful welds, "gradient tubing," and were incredibly lightweight (example... Weight Weenies - Articles ) Kleins peak was around 1990-1997-ish. There are very few 25 year old mountain bikes that can still turn heads like a Klein.

Kleins in the mountain biking world are similar to Cannondale Tracks in the fixed gear/track world.

I had two pre-Trek models and absolutely loved them. Of course I wouldn't pay that much for a NOS Klein but just being able to assemble like it came fresh from the factory would be so awesome. It's like people that spends thousands on one of those GI Joe aircraft carriers that are still in the box. It's like a completely virgin bike as if pulled out of a time capsule.

If you're ever bored, read up about Gary Klein...I believe he built the first model while at MIT. Kind of a cool story.

Ultegra compact, $100. Guy says it has ten miles on it.

brand new ultegra compact 172.5 ten miles

Thinking about offering the guy 75 or 80 and see what he says.

Don't know if this is worth $550 or not. Its lower end Titanium but the clean lines and condition of the bike caught my eye. The wheels alone are worth a few hundred.

Would make a sweet starter bike or commuter for someone.

Fulcrum Racing 7 Wheelset with Michelin Pro 3 Race Service Course Tires 700c x 23mm - $150

I am in the market for some wheels to update an old nishiki. Didnt know what a reasonable offer was to make on these. I see they can be had new for ~130. These are 15mm the new versions are 17mm wide. I probably ideally wanna put a 28mm tire on which ever wheelset I get. Steer clear or make an offer? Thanks

I honestly love Michelin Pro 23mms they are a really solid tire if you pay attention, they roll insanely fast and stick really well on wet roads(watch out for sand and gravel though).

You are getting 50$ worth of tire/tube with your wheelset, if they are true and the bearings are good I would go for it.
