Fresh Garbage
I'm curious how your bike rides, it's set up so differently from mine. The new 11sp stuff does work real nice.

Bought some cheap Chinese carbon clinchers for the CAAD10. For $365 shipped for the set I am not disappointed at all.

Just bought a Giant Allegre. Taking it to the shop today to have the rear wheel trued (and one spoke replaced), derailleur adjusted, and cables replaced. Yeah, my photo taking skills are bad....
EDIT:
Better shot of the crank side. Gotta get used to DT index shifting this week and dialing in stem height.

i replicate my BG fit on all my bikes, so the fit does look pretty aggressive. since i've gotten fit, anything other than this just doesn't feel right. the 56cm straggler has a 20mm longer tt than my supersix evo so i've only got a 100mm stem on it, instead of a 120mm.
the farthest i've ridden it is 40 miles, and it was pretty comfy for those 40. i've got a 65+mile gravel race next saturday, so we'll see how it does! i've put 736 miles on it since i've had it and actually use it as my main bike now. i've been really happy with the specialized fatboy tires, also. i've ridden singletrack, loose chunky gravel, tarmac and everything in between with them and they haven't let me down.
last night i swapped out housing to a jagwire compressionless kit and the 11speed 105 feels AMAZING! the only downside is the proprietary cables you gotta use with the shifters. but those polymer coated cables + jagwire housing= splooge. i went with a 46/36 ultegra crank and 11/32 ultegra cassette for some good offroad gearing. i spun out at 39.5mph the other day, so i've still got enough gear for the road, also.
tl;dr- a++ would buy again.

just a note if your bike has a level top tube your not supposed to be showing 9-11 inches of seat post with the stem reversed with and 40-50mm of spacer underneath it's an indication that your bike doesn't fit no matter what you say buy a bigger one.

if you're talking to me in regards to my straggler, i've got 6" of thomson post showing, and 30mm of spacer stack underneath my 6 degree 100mm long stem. surlys are know for their super short headtubes, so 30mm of spacers is actually pretty low in the surly world.

not feeling guilty at all, actually- you just happened to post that comment right after i answered hairnet's inquiry, so it seemed like you were directing that at me.
and "going a size or two up" would put me in the 59cm-61cm top tube length on the straggler. i'm not going to lose standover height, and run a 70mm stem to f*uck up the handling because you don't like the way my bike looks.
thanks for the suggestion.

I put mine through the rounds on dirt and road and I find it to be a good all around bike. It is a bit slow on the road with big tires but it handles well on the dirt, still have to take it out with knobby tires. I geared up the above Univega because the Straggler is just too slow to be my main road bike.

I could definitely see that. I haven't been riding a lot recently, and have been using this bike to get the most "workout" of my limited riding. With the new wheels and drivetrain I'm "down" to 26lbs. I'm doing a century ride in 2 weeks and will ride my EVO for the first time in awhile. I'm hoping that the resistance training will pay off!
