Also thank you. The helmet is great. Lots of ventilation; its light and comfortable.

I went out an got me a Titanium 26er frame from Mark at Habenero. It will arrive probably late this upcoming week and I can't wait. Vintage MTB baby.

Mark is a really nice guy and really got me and what I was doing which was neat. I cannot speak to the quality of the frame yet but I can say Mark is a quality guy and if you are looking for cheap ti from a nice guy, take a look. From what I have heard and seen they seem to be just fine and dandy and for what I need it was perfect.

I will post pictures at some point when finished or maybe during the build as well. It will be geared so no single speed shenanigans on this one but a good mix of some original XT (pre-xtr) and some Paul stuff and some old Nukeproof Ti hubs should be fun. Still trying to decide if I want Chris King, White Industries or Phil Wood purple headset. All are great options but I have to pick one.

Hope you got crankarms too . Fixed is a lot of fun. Hard work for sure, but will increase your average speed on other bikes and improve pedalling too.

Yup. I'm currently running 1/8. Just swapping out cranksets. Are you building a new bike?

Dave,
I working on the bike in the post above your crank.... the Ridley.

Replaced undrilled aluminum fork with pre-drilled carbon fork.
Replaced 48T chainring with 42T (chicken legs) and ordered both 20T & 25T cogs. But staying with fixed.
Adding R7000 brakes (front and back) with R400 levers
I didn't want to leave a long steerer, so I'm reusing the same spacers and adding carbon drop bars with a rise in them.

I don't want to take my road bike on public transport, I'm building a commuter, a nice one, but a commuter.
Oh, and ordered some 3M 6mil automotive Bra material for the main tubes.

That's a really nice bike! Looks like it is ready for the track. Should be a fun commuter when it's done. I have always wanted to do a fixed commute, (18mi) have only done geared due to time constraints.

It's a really good idea having two brakes. Stopping is so much easier, and quicker. Have you found a way to put some bottle cages on your bike? Would be a nice addition as the summer is coming up.

You'll enjoy that.
I like the way it moves from bike to bike and just uses the sensors on the bike you brought, including my indoor trainer.

If you connect it to Wifi, it will update itself when necessary..... usually happens as I go out the door late for a ride.
You might want to power it up 5mins before you plan on leaving.

Remembering to charge stuff is always a struggle for me. I haven't gone on a night ride in ages because I keep forgetting to charge my lights.

I'll second that. They update a lot, usually at the most inconvenient time.

Build up a dynamo wheel and wire in some lights and boom, no more charging.
