Just ordered some 700x28 Continental Grand Prix's for a great deal (came out to be around $50 total for the pair). Replacing some REALLY bad 700x23 Gator Skins and figured I would try out a different tire that's a bit fatter.

I'm hoping for a bit more comfort on the street.
Anyone know if Grand Prix's run true to size?

Well, assuming you are talking about the newer GP 4000s series, then they run anywhere from true to size to slightly larger. I've only had experience with the 700x23c and 700x25c, so can't say for sure that the 700x28c would be the same way.

Hey, I think somebody might be trying to give me a hard time. I certainly did not start out with a plan. Funny thing is now I am thinking about a new frame

problem is is the bike rides great as is, so why replace the frame?

And, it was not expensive when compared to a good MTB.

Bought a set of NOS Phil Hubs laced to Wolber TX Profil hoops using Hoshi Stainless Aero Spokes. Threw the set on my Bridgestone RB-1. Taking them to ride in the Seattle rain today.

Giro Codes with dat gold:

Got 'dem for $5 brand spankin' new cause the place I work at was going out of business (and is now officially out of business and no more jerb) Wish they were the newer ones with Vibram rubber and the higher volume but for $5 I cannot really complain.

Also bought 5 9-speed chains (Shimano mostly but hey for the price, I can deal with chain pins) and some cheapo brake pads to run through in an emergency. But those are less exciting.

Are those the ones with aluminum spokes ? If so, good luck.
