Sigh I just deleted my response. Here we go again...

- S&S S1-A Jersey: top quality; thicker material, bumpier surface; clubfit (room in belly area)
- Ornot Socks: rigid, no movement on skin; tight, perfect fit; not too hot
- Ornot ĞFloralğ Jersey: racefit, like the top of a skinsuit, fits like a glove; i love it
- Ornot ĞFloralğ bibs: one of the best bibs I ever had; if you have bigger thighs, size up
- TwinSix Jersey: also more of a clubfit

Also had a super nice experience with Ornot's customer service since I had to return the bibs to size up (from Europe) and they made sure I got the replacement very quick. Curious to know how many lumens this light is? I don't understand their usage of lux.

Here is what B&M say:

"Illumination levels of headlights can be measured using different units – e.g. Lux or Lumen.

Busch & Müller gives the light output of headlights using the unit Lux. A Lux value provides the illumination level in relation to its distance from the light source. The value at 10m distance from the light is the legally stipulated distance in some countries, and this has become a market standard. Amongst other factors, this measurement is a deciding factor when considering a headlight, because it states the amount of light on the road. The value Lumen in turn, states how much light is emitted from the headlight at the light source, no matter which direction this light is emitted, so this value includes stray light emitted upwards, that is not much help if you are trying to light up the road in front of you. That is why this value – as excellent as it might sound – can be very misleading.

However, as it stands, even the Lux value provides only partial information about the output of a headlight. Also important is the quality of the light field which is created on the road. Its width, depth, homogeneity as well as its glare-free light/dark boundary are all qualities that cannot be stated using measured data. This means:
The only real way to evaluate a light beam is to take a good look at what it does on the road!

By the way: Some manufacturers cite 'visibility from x metres' as a means of evaluating headlamp quality, a rather meaningless value. There is no objective measuring method, and the safety gain is only an individually perceived factor, because it implies ideal conditions (no interfering light, 'clean' air, unhindered visibility, universally identical abilities of human eyesight ...) that in reality do not exist. That is why we forgo quoting a value we consider useless and that only feigns objectivity."


There are online tools to convert between the two units, but I'm not worried about the numbers either way. I read reviews saying this model is very good, in lux, lumens, or whatever. I'll try it and see how it does for me in actual use.

50 lux will be fine for the road, id compare it to somewhere in the range of 200+ lumens

I have their Luxos which, if i remember correctly, is 70lux and it does just fine, but not enough for going fast in the woods. I need 2x 1000lumen lights for that kinda ****

200 might be alright for a lit up city street but what about dark neighborhood roads and pitch black MUP's? I have a Cygolite Dash 320 and that is the bare minimum that I would ride with at night on unlit streets.

I can basically guarantee you that light isn't actually 320 lumens

To be clear my luxos doesnt exactly light up the night either, but it will definitely get you seen by vehicles and lets me see anything i would need to on a dark MUP. The thing about luxos lights is they have fantastic lenses that spread the beam perfectly for the application, most lights are just a roughly circular pattern. Think HID projector headlights on a car, they put the light where you need it most

All that being said, more is always better when you're talkin about light
