Yeah, the ALM is certainly a unique piece of gear. Some of the early ones had issues with cracking. Fabric was unable to provide warranty replacements while they worked out the issue and so gave the customers a top of the line Scoop Ultimate with carbon rails/base for free and later provided the ALM replacement with updated design. At least one reviewer said he liked the Scoop so much he just kept it and sold the ALM. The scoop was that good.
The new saddle pictured above is a Fabric Scoop Race - titanium rails and flexible nylon base. This is the "all day comfort" Shallow profile and will go on my new fixed gear bike (if I decide to do the build) or it will replace the Fizik on my current fixed gear bike. Either way, at $69 from Backcountry it won't go to waste.
I replaced the Fizik on my road bike with a Scoop Ultimate and built my gravel bike with a Scoop Ultimate Team Issue which I happened to see on clearance. Photos of the Ultimate Team Issue saddle in the Radius profile is below. It is super comfy.

That Litespeed should be fun.
I returned the Fabric saddle because I ordered the wrong one. Doh!

Nice, their story is so interesting. Dude wanted to get into triathalons and couldn't be bothered to buy a bike so they built one in their factory after hours out of Ti because that is what they had from their aerospace work.
We have an old Merlin road bike in the shop with a neat old Time 1" threaded carbon fork on it. It has mostly 600 tricolor on it which just makes it look so nice. We also had a RVT cross frame in a while back with old Michelin green CX tires on it. Ti is just such a neat material and older stuff has a lovely look about it.

I was at REI today, saw this bottle holder, and had to have it:
I had a perfectly functional bottle cage on my bike, but it didn't look like an owl. Now I've remedied that.
I also got a new seat, a Fabric Scoop. My Steamroller setup is inching closer to perfection.

Those are the best bottle cages, I have 4 bird cages (and three that I sold with a bike), 4 owl cages, a sparrow cage and some lucky cat cages as well. They hold on to bottles really well and of course look so neat.

Portland Design Works is probably my favorite company for bike accessories. I have a set of their fenders on my commuter bike, and they are an excellent design. There are several other products in their catalog that I'd love to own. The stuff isn't cheap, though.

A little something to match the '77 D-A crankset.
@Broctoon My wife has the owl bottle cage and *loves* it (her initial reaction was about the same as yours). And I agree, PDW is a sweet company. I've got their "Shiny Object" in my tool bag at all times, and have used their Sodapop fenders (good but not awesome) in the past.

For the Phil Wood frame:
For a set of Mavic/C-Record wheels I got for free:
Never mounted a tubular tire so it should be fun!The old ones are rotten, one still holds air but the sidewalls are dry and flaky.

Completely by accident, I was on the Niagara Cycles website, and discovered that they were closing out a pair of Sun CR18 rims for $5.25 each. Even with $10 shipping for the pair, it still seemed like a good deal, since those rims are usually between 20 and 30 bucks. I've built wheels with the CR18's before, and I think they're quite DIY friendly.
P.S. They also had some polished Sun M13-IIs in 32h for $5.25 each, but I missed out. On the bright side, they have SRAM PC-870s for half price!

The rims arrived. Now I have to figure out what to do with them. The single-speed has 27"ers on it right now, and I'm committed to using the tires until they wear out. And if I build new wheels, then of course I'll have to choose tires. My tastes are gradually heading me in the direction of gravel territory, and I think there's a chance of fitting 35mm tires on this frame with reasonable clearance.

I'll write a follow-up post when my impulse-buy purchase arrives.

Put a little red light on the helmet and only ever refer to it as "Hal."

Two new or nearly Troxel comfort seats and an old Delta single D cell taillight (screw the lens slightly to turn on/off).

After talking about it for 18+ months, I just ordered a new wheelset and some other goodies from a certain shop in San Diego... next up is a new BB and crankset. Long time coming. The ol' Kilo is giving me some death groans!!
