What frame would you get if you had $1500?
 

Looking to pick up a new frame, recently sold my Dosnoventa and Kagero. The Dosnoventa ended up being too big and I just grew tired of the Kagero. I've been trying to decide what to get next. I really liked the Dosnoventa but rode it twice and was really just too big. Was going to get another in a smaller size but then thought is there something I'm missing?

My dream frame would be a LOW but I just can't wait 9 months. I have been looking for the last 4 and have never seen one go for sale.

I figured I throw this up to see what others would do with $1500 for a frame. What would you get?

if my dream frame was a LOW, i would wait 9 months and get a LOW

if my budget was $1500, I would get whichever aluminum track frame I liked the best (parallax geo and tapered fork are most intriguing, the paint is not my thing though).

A Wabi, but I don't think I could ever spend $1500 on a fixed gear road bike.

I'd probably get a Steamroller and spend the rest on beer and strippers.

As far as NJS goes, you can get a nagasawa for $1500... the most celebrated/ champion striped NJS builder.

Nagasawa definitely on my short list too but I've never ridden one. Ridden Panas and Ciocc s and liked em.

Well you can't really generalize for NJS bikes considering they're all bespoke with custom geo and tubeset based on the original keirin rider's specs.

yeah id get an NJS actually if I was determined to spend all that. a nagasawa with pretty colors

Why settle for NOS when it's sub-1500 to get a new Bridgestone & Panasonic bespoke to you?
They still actively make bikes among the many other NJS makes. $1500 should get you a custom one to your door from NJS-land.

Had no idea Bridgestone was still available. Thought only anchor bridgestones these days.

Come to think of it, I would try to buy my friend's Paramount track bike.

Probably the Leader EQNX, a Rock Lobster... something of that sort.

At that price (add a few hundo's) I would have something custom
- Rosko
- Squarebuilt
- etc

All brand new Makino, Bridgestone, Nagasawa full custom NJS keirin builds with average Miche or FSA gear will run 1150€ (1560 USD) shipped to your door in France.

If you are okay with used, you can easily find a Level or Rensho build in that same price range.

Lots of folks riding NJS gear in France and Spain now. Don't know the story behind that. No one even knows what keirin is here.

I admit it - I am an Italophile, least when it comes to certain things ;) and I cannot understand anyone preferring a Leader over that Ciocc, or something like this:
