Mixing master link parts within brand

So, I recently installed a KMC k710 chain, and looking for a spare missing link online, the z410 one (https://www.amazon.com/KMC-Z410NP-Con...dp/B004JKJLU2/) is way cheaper, and ships free, compared to the 710 one. Their designs are slightly different but not a ton.

Would it be safe to assume that the cheaper z410 master link would work fine as a spare for a k710 chain?

Looks okay from here considering they're both 1/8ths.

I've run that chain before and the masterlink was exactly the same as the one you linked.

Don't worry too much, masterlinks are pretty simplistic and universal unless you're using it for a newer geared bike with chain that has a bunch of bells and whistles.

Awesome, that's what I figured, just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something obvious. Thanks!

Luckily I did notice in some directions online to put the whole end of the retaining clip at the forward side of front pedaling; I almost put it on "backwards" the first time without thinking about whether it mattered.
