Front fender eyelets

I have a non-touring road conversion that I've fendered for my rain bike- trouble is, the P-clips don't really hold on the front fork. How difficult would it be to braze my own eyelets? Or is a JB bond jobby easier/better?

Anyone with any experience or ideas for something at least half-way presentable?

Zip ties?, duct tape?, or hose clamps?

I've never had P-clamps not hold well. You're using the stainless steel ones with the loop dipped in black rubber? They stick like crazy. If you are using plastic ones, I'd dump them anyway because they tend to crack sooner or later and then all your hardware goes flopping into your spokes. I have fenders on a variety of carbon and steel forks and have no problems. You do have the right size? -- they do need to be tight.

They probably are not the right size... trouble is, the fork end is quite narrow to begin with.
