Front brakes

I am interested in running a front brake on my KHS flite 100 my problem though is that I don't want to have one aero lever on one side and none of the other, so a BMX, MTB or Cyclorcross lever for bartop mounting will have to do the trick. My problem is this, I plan on getting Nitto B123 track drops, with the Nitto 58 deg. drop stem. Recommend me some BMX/MTB/CX brake levers that will fit the 25.4mm bar size of the nitto please =)

and, if none will fit the nitto's, then recommend me a bar/stem combo that looks like the nitto setup and a BMX/MTB/CX brake lever please =) thanks.

"Goldfinger" one finger is all you need.

I have a Tektro Dirt Harry lever on my Nitto B127's and it does the job nicely.

Gotta a snafu 2 finger cyclocross jobbie to a Shimano Sora. Mounted this to Profile bullhorns.

Only bad thing is when I go full aero at speed I don't have a brake at hand.

But conversely I find that it forces me to rely on the brakes less and on anticipating traffic better especially at speed.

I really like the goldfinger...does this fit the 25.4mm bar size? only ones I could find were ones that would ONLY(explicitly stated by numerous online shops) fit 7/8(22.2mm) bars. Also, if the gold finger does fit 25.4, is the 1 finger lever any more difficult to operate in terms of leverage on the caliper? Don't want to suddenly have my finger fail on me with a super short lever with no leverage =P

upon further inspection I think either the Diatech tech 99 levvers or the SNAFU U/L Brake Levers will be perfect, they both fit the 25.4mm(1inch) bars and they are pretty cheap to boot. I think I like the look of the SNAFU more since it's a little more minimalist, thanks for the suggestions =)

Why not just use an emergency brake?

How about a Dia-Compe Blaze Stoker lever. They are dummy levers that tandem stokers often use to have that extra hand position on dropped bars. I remember a bike or two that used one on the Fixie/SS picture post. Some like to have the option of riding on the hoods and they balance out the look.

Any cyclocross lever with a 24mm clamp diameter works fine on the Nitto track bars. I've got a Tektro RX 2.0 on my B123's.
