For example, look at a KMC Z410's plates in comparison to a KMC Z410H, D-101 or Izumi Super Toughness and tell me your equine eyes don't see a difference. |

False. Not all 1/8" chains have the same plate thickness.

Not sure what planet you're from but here on Earth, he Z410H, D-101 and Super Toughness are common track chains.
Not trying tom play the "know-it-all" card here, just simply pointing out that your statement was wrong. |
Super toughnesses are common? Now I feel poor.
|
Judging from how many my shop sells and the number of people using them here on the velodrome, I'd say they're pretty common.
Also, the KMC Z410H I mentioned above is a $10 chain that comes stock on several complete fixed gear bikes (the All-City Big Block being one). |
Y u no include 1" skip tooth? Both 1/8" and 3/32" are for casuals who only walk their bike down the sidewalk to the nearest trendy coffee shop.
|
Why no love for 3/16? ;) :D
1/8th chain on 3/32 chainring and cog. |
Check out k710, that **** is thick!

I run a 3/16" chain. I ordered it accidentally! I put it on anyway and have done many miles on it. Works fine and good novelty factor with many people commenting on the "motorbike chain". It is left hand drive also.
