False. Not all 1/8" chains have the same plate thickness.

For example, look at a KMC Z410's plates in comparison to a KMC Z410H, D-101 or Izumi Super Toughness and tell me your equine eyes don't see a difference.

Not sure what planet you're from but here on Earth, he Z410H, D-101 and Super Toughness are common track chains.

Judging from how many my shop sells and the number of people using them here on the velodrome, I'd say they're pretty common.

Also, the KMC Z410H I mentioned above is a $10 chain that comes stock on several complete fixed gear bikes (the All-City Big Block being one).

When you need a chainbreaker that is made with a 3/16 chain in mind for a 1/8 chain, you have a tough chain, same goes for the D101.

I run a 3/16" chain. I ordered it accidentally! I put it on anyway and have done many miles on it. Works fine and good novelty factor with many people commenting on the "motorbike chain". It is left hand drive also.
