28mm tires with planet bike cascadia fenders on a wabi?

Can anyone tell me if there is enough clearance for 28mm tires and fenders on a wabi classic?

I have Gatorskins in 700x28 and my MK2 crud road racer fenders do not clear. Not sure if that helps.

The reason your Crud Mk2's don't fit, is because they are designed for a 700 x 25 maximum tire size...

you need 4 mm clearance

Do you have the newer version with the eyelet mounts for fenders/rack and increased tire clearance, or the older version?

Ah, didn't realize that. Guess that explains it.

From what Richard told me, it is the new version with bigger clearance but doesn't have the hidden fender mounts.

Thank you guys for the heads up on Wabi Classic tire sizing. I have a new Classic frameset with fender bosses that I have not built up yet. I was originally planning to use 25c tires along with some SKS fenders, and I may use that set up for "winter" commuting. My current plan is to "hopefully" be able to run Continental Contact 2 700 x 32 without fenders. I use these tires on a geared commuter and they are awesome tires; a bit heavy but very durable and dependable. Now I better check for radial clearance!

Gotcha. I'm a bit sad, i was hoping i'd be able to run 28's along with a fender on the new style.

And I'm guessin that since one of the guys in the other thread said he had a problem w/ getting the 700x32 tires to clear, the planet bike 35mm cascadia def won't clear. I guess it depends which way it needs clearance- vertically or horizontally, and i guess it might vary tiire to tire. Hopefully I'll be able to make it fit.
