what im curious about is will my 2014 Soma Rush track frameset be compatible with SRAM Omnium Crank/BB Set and my rear wheel is the Sun CR18 if that is important. will my chain line be correct? and if not will i be able to do a simple fix with spacers?

The Suntour CR18 is a rim, not a hub so depends on what the hub your are running.
I don't know 100% for sure but I'd wager that the Soma is a standard english BB shell though the omniums sometimes hit the chainstays of certain bikes.

Your cog is slipping.
At any rate, you won't have any clearance issues using Omniums on a Soma Rush.

I thought the issue with the spacer was the nds spline not fully engaging? How is that different with the other bottom brackets?

Your cog is slipping.
They have thinner outboard cups and are specifically designed to be used with spacers to adjust chain line/clearance issues, where the stock Sram GXP is not.
