Clutching Mary
Okay, so I'm getting a set of On-One Mary bars for my machine. Does that make me a Nanna?
|
For those (including me) who have/had no idea what these bars look like:

On the right bike, those bars will look great. I like the shape.
Got a pic of the bike you're putting them on? |
The Rancid Spam Machine
http://www.thylacinecycles.com/album...cilAlley03.jpg I'm sooooopa worried about the additional 150g it will add to my 21lb bike. |
I like 'em. Why not go with some On One Midges? (Ok, I admit that it's just my obsession to try out some dirt drops.)
|
They look a bit more ergonomic then straight bars. Are they revised cruiser bars?
|
Put 'em on, ride 'em and give us a full review.
|
I've tried WTB dirt drops, and they suck worse than that green thing that's replaced our avatars that looks like something out of 'Sprited Away'.
The Mary bars are actually an extreme sweep riser bar, a la Jeff Jones. Some guys around here are running a similar design which I think is a Nitto of some description, but the Mary's seem better designed. Better designed than the Jones bars too I might add. As much as I think On-One bikes are poo, I have to give kudos to Brant for taking a risk and doing bars like this. Barland is much more interesting now. |
I'm all for innovations in mtb bars...or any bars!
|
Me too. I'm obsessed by handlebars. It all started with Boone Lennon and his weird arse Scott bars your worship......
|
Yeah, I think my red bike wants some mary bars.
