Track gearing

Hey all-

What gearing do you recommend for the track? I'm currently running 45x16 for commuting and alleycats, but want to build something track specific. I have another 16t cog (brand new philwood) that I would like to use. I was thinking 52t?

48x15 to start.

Nagrom_ 08-21-14 12:20 AM

Uh, a lot more than one gear.

GENESTARWIND 08-21-14 12:28 AM

arent you supposed to have a warm up gear and a running gear? also different gears for different tracks?

To start, one gear is fine. Although GENESTARWIND is right, you'll want a warmup gear, specifically if you'll be at Kissena.

I only have one side threaded on my rear hub. Good to see you're still alive. How's your Kilo?

Shoot for like 85gi. Small enough to spin, big enough for a decent top end.

Yeah I'm alive, this place just blows. Kilo is gone.

i love a 52 chainring but your back cog u need to have a few i would say have a 14,15,16 but what you have to start is not bad. its something you have to play with and find what works best for you.

I forgot to ask about your Caad10 too. Are you just leaving cycling all together?
