Good first bike for commuting?
 

Hello everyone, wanted some input on a bike I saw on Craigslist. It's a fixie bike with some parts I've never heard of, the only one I have heard of is Shimano.

I'm a 22 years old male, measuring about 5'5"

I would be using this bike mostly for commuting to university and to kill time when I have nothing to do.

Wanted to know if the components are good and if the bike is priced right. Would also appreciate any other bike recommendation within a $300 budget.

Wow, everything on your CL is 2x the $ as anywhere else. That bike you picked would be an okay deal for $80. Unless you're able to travel far out of town for used bikes, bikesdirect is your best bet.

Yeah after doing some research myself, I found out that the bike was worth less than the advertised price on Craigslist... Good thing I didn't pull the trigger on the spot.
