brake levers
 

(..and unrelated to traffic cones)...i have been trying to decide what to do about break levers. right now I have bullhorns(drop bars chopped and flipped over) with a regular front break lever on the end of the bars, i can only use it when riding the horns. I have been debating getting a small bmx lever for the straight part of my bars cause i feel like for the few times that I do need it it'd be easier to have it there, but there have been times its has been nice to have access to it on the horns, i pretty much only ride the ends of the bars when standing. I just thought I'd ask if anyone went through this as well and decided one over the other for any particular reason, its probably particular to different people but just thought i'd ask. thanks much. ...by the way, i find myself more and more on this thing every day...so thanks to yall for entertaining me. peace.

I started running a tri brake out on the horn and a cyclocross lever* on the flat.

*The cable runs through it works great.

Yeah, on the top bar you can run a cyclocross brake lever in line with your existing brake and you'll be knee deep in braking options.

It made more sense for me to have it on the flat section, since I spent most my time there. Had a cheapo bmx-style lever but it was kinda shoddy so it was replaced by a Nashbar inline lever, and that worked very well. I don't use it anymore. You can try it out if you like.
