Axle Nuts and Spacers
 

My Axle nuts are pretty rounded out and on the rear wheel the frame is being bent in on one side due to a lack of spacers.... (previous owner and my adjustable wrench).
What should I get to straighten it all up?

Any recommendations on decent nuts? (Other than "Deez Nutz")

My LBS doesn't have spacers.
I want to learn the fine art of wheel alignment.

For dropout alignment I use two LONG 3/8" bolts locked in with nuts on all sides as pictured below. Tweak until the bolts are aligned. You can read about the technique here, Bicycle Frame/Hub Spacing and you can also read about using the string technique to align the rear triangle with the front triangle. There are pictures there as well for the frame tweaking.

Everbody sells track nuts, (with floating washer) not hard to find. Just google "Problem Solvers Track nuts"

You can buy axle spacers direct from Wheels Manufacturing, but your LBS should be able to get them for you with ease.

Someone in Nashville should open a bicycle shop.

We had a good one in my neighborhood that was going for the 'bike cafe' thing where people hung out and worked on their bikes.
That one closed and the other one is still in business.

That one; "Eastside Cycles" is cool in that there is a mechanic that will often take a look at your bike right when you come in and will tweak it while you wait if it's something small. They just don't have a lot of parts in stock.

There are a few shops around town that I haven't been to.

You can use steel washers as axle spacers. Just go to your local hardware store.

So I popped over to a Bike Shop that specializes in restoring old bikes and customs.
Halcyon Bike Shop

They had some Origin8 parts and they helped me out a bit.
I think that some one had taken my rear wheel apart and lost a washer and maybe a locknut.

Not all of us have stores like Retrogression at our disposal. I live in a smaller town than Nashville, and out of the 6 bike shops here, 1 carries a few in stock and sells fixed gear bikes (State). The other has extremely limited stuff related to fixed gear. The others sell a combo of mountain and road bikes. No need to be so sarcastic about it, sorry, but seriously?

The shop I went to yesterday actually has a 'community workbench' with tools and they run a charity bike mechanics class for kids.
There are more boutique shops like that around Nashville, just not convenient to ride my bike to them.
