i'm a little pissed about this. its not like it wasn't confined. it's not as though people were looking at stuff for sale when they didn't want to. the thread was clearly marked, anyone who was reading it was doing so by choice.

maybe if they'd let me sell my F'in stuff i'd be able to afford a $25 star.

Jamtastic 04-13-05 01:27 PM

well i say as we can plug our own stuff we have for sale in this forum since they have made the for sale pay only. so its only fair that if you have something track/single related you can list it in the ebay thread. just make sure you have an ebay or cl listing to get past the guidlines. would that work?

Right, but it's another change of policy.

First it was anything (well, to my knowledge), then it had to be listed on a 3rd party site, now you have to have an upgraded $ membership to post.

Maybe that's what happened to our dear eBay thread. Maybe our Bikeforums mods ate too much mexican food, so to speak. Ay!

And to think, I was just going to upgrade my membership...

Haha, yeah right! I have an extra $25 as much as Al Bundy has a home cooked meal.

It's funny how the moderation is done on this forum. They move and delete threads with no explanation. At the very least they could send a PM to the person who created the thread. This way people would at least know why a thread is moved or deleted so that they can know what not to do in the future. If they don't want an "eBay thread" they could send PMs to the people who were posting most in it and said something like "this thread belongs in a different forum" or something, because now, since no one seems to have gotten an explanation, there's another eBay thread for them to remove. Not that I'm trying to be a rabble-rouser or anything but you can't avoid making the same mistakes over if no one tells you when you've made one in the first place.

raygunner 04-13-05 01:33 PM

Forget that piece of junk, we should just vent in this post. You know, with a little nosh too.

$25 star...Well, I could have a bigger pic of "The Dude"...

Then again I can just post my stuff on CRAIGSLIST and it's FREE...
